Fresh Fruit Margaritas

5 May

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Did you know that it actually is possible to have it all? Delicious fresh fruit, healthy dose of fiber, minimal added sugar, and the refreshing taste (and buzz) of a margarita. This, dear friends, is how we celebrated our Cinco de Mayo.

Don’t mind the alarming orange color of these margaritas. The beauty of this drink is that it takes on the color of whatever you put in it. The oranges I found were very vibrantly colored The simple ingredients are lemons, limes, oranges, a little bit of sugar, tequila (obviously) and triple sec. You can adjust the amount of sugar in these depending on how sweet or sour you like your margs and depending on how sweet or sour your fruit is. I used a Vitamix blender for these which is an extremely high powered blender. I can’t guarantee the same smooth consistency with other blenders. ImageImageImage

Cheers!
